Since 2004, I have found myself in a deep fascination with the guitar; The Physics, Wood grain, Cultural impact, and most importantly the sound. Growing up I became pretty isolated in an effort to grasp a fuller understanding of what exactly I was aiming to achieve with the instrument. Practicing a strict 3+ hours a day, writing & recording progressive metal with a high focus on technique and tone.
Throughout the years I have bought, traded, tried and repaired guitars and basses from manufacturers all across the globe. Spanning through decades, analyzing the build construction, the parts used, and always questioning if there was a better way.
In 2015, I attended The Canadian School of Lutherie in Toronto, Ontario to further my understanding of what makes a great guitar, and the processes involved in getting there. Shortly after I attended Mohawk College for AutoCAD with the intention to 3D Model my designs and manufacture them in my own shop here in Hamilton, Ontario. After working tirelessly in kitchens, repairing instruments on the side and designing in Fusion360, I fully stepped into this career and left the life of a chef.
I went got my hands on all the different materials working for a highly respected exotic wood supplier, paying close attention to what separates each specie from one another; The grain(Face, Edge, End), Weight, Smell, Oil Content, Elasticity and Hardness. During that time I bought a CNC machine and began the learning curve of operating and prototyping.
In 2020 I was offered a position in Finish Prep at F Bass in Hamilton, Ontario. Granting me the opportunity to learn from the best, dive even deeper into the inner workings of this business and reorganize the way I approach my designs and manufacturing process.
My mission is to build the best modern electric guitar, by a player, for a player; utilizing the experience and knowledge I've gained through my studies over the years and vigorous trial and error attempts. Offering a well refined musical instrument to be enjoyed by generations to come.
Repairs are on a “By Appointment Only” basis in effort to control the amount of work in my shop, maintain quick turn around times, and positive engagement with the client.
